However, the new development (about a week or two ago), is that Firefox is also no longer able to run any Java.
This has been happening for a while, and is nothing new. When I try to run anything Java in Safari, it simply does absolutely nothing.

Here is the error code I get from terminal: I tried the exact same websites on another computer, running the same OS and 1.6, and it worked fine, so it seems to be something wrong with this computer in particular. Clearing the cache did nothing in either case. Then I tried going back to 1.7_45, and still no luck. That worked fine, and the rollback succeeded, but then the problems were still there. So I tried rolling it back to 1.6, as the Apple site recommends. jar file manually from terminal, it told me that the Java Virtual Machine could not be started. Terminal does confirm that I have Java as well, but when I tried to run a. The Java site says that I am running the latest version (1.7_45). I was hoping that maybe someone here knows of something I can do that might help. I'm having some pretty annoying issues with Java on my computer (running OS 10.7.5), and I've been working all day trying to fix it and haven't gotten anywhere.
